Become a Certified Driver Operator 1B, Today!

Description: This course provides the knowledge and skills needed to operate and perform preventative maintenance on a pumping apparatus. Topics include routine tests, inspections, and servicing functions; producing hand, master, and foam fire streams; relay pump operations; and supplying water to fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.

Please note: All Community Education offerings are considered not-for-credit, which means it does not count toward credited college academic programs.

*Prerequisite Requirement: Driver Operator 1A Completion, Proof of Completion will be required on day 1 of the offering. If you sign-up and do not meet the prerequisite requirements then you will be dropped from the class with no refund available. 

Dress Code/PPE: Appropriate dress for class is required. It is the student’s responsibility to maintain a clean, neat professional appearance. Acceptable dress includes: Your Issued Department Uniform, Helmet, Gloves, Work boots, Eye Protection.

Certification Issued: A State Fire Marshal CFSTES Certification
